What's new
- One pre-start timer and one operator timeout. Set them once in the console, for the organisation, a group, a site or a single machine, in hours and minutes. Each tier shows where an inherited value comes from. The app and the Interlock get both with every unlock.
- One rule in the app, on every machine. If the last pre-start is still valid, the operator confirms it; if it has expired, failed, or there isn't one, they do a new pre-start. The button says which: Start pre-start, Confirm and unlock, or Confirm pre-start on a GoTag-only machine.
- Key-on after a power cut. If the last pre-start is still valid and has reached the platform, the operator confirms it rather than starting over.
- Coming in a later release: operator timeout 0. It will mean the operator confirms after every key-off. For now the shortest operator timeout is 1 minute.
- The console says "confirmed". A Confirm shows in Activity as "Pre-start confirmed on" the machine, and on the pre-start's page under Confirmations.
What changes on release day
- Timers start for organisations that never set one. A pre-start now lasts 11 hours unless you change it, and operators get the "expiring soon" reminder. Older passes recorded without an expiry now expire on their machine's timer, counted from when they were done.
- Compliance means the pre-start is still valid. The dashboard, reports, coverage and the map count a machine as compliant while its last passing pre-start is valid, and for no other reason. A pre-start done late yesterday that is still valid now counts this morning, so your figures will shift on release day.
- Your machines keep the windows they were getting. Where a machine had two values for the same timer, or the Interlock's own limit cut a longer setting short, the shorter one is now the setting. On a site whose machines sit in groups with different settings, the site takes the shortest of them. An Interlock that was set to lock at every key-off now has a 1-minute operator timeout. A later release lets you set 0 again.
- Interlocks get new limits. An Interlock caps the timers at its own limits. Older units hold 11 hours and 15 minutes until the updated app raises them to 24 hours and 3 hours, the next time a supervisor or technician connects to the machine. The Devices page lists the Interlocks still on the old limits.
